Hardware Appliace Coverage

Q: When I run the Discovery Service for the subnet that contains the actual h/w appliance, the h/w appliance discovers itself as a known device type ciscoSCS1000K9 . Is it meant to do this ?

Ans: We are covering the appliance as a part of TAC , in the inventoried devices. However, we are not charging the customer for this. The appliance has a device weight of zero, meaning that the customer is not paying anything for the RMA coverage. We are able to apply discovery and inventory service to the appliance.
